Learn Why Sizing Your Furnace is So Important What We Consider When Sizing a Furnace in Akron / Canton When sizing for a furnace, a couple of things go into it, not just the square footage of the house. Though the square footage is one of the main things, but we also look at the windows in the house, asking the following questions: What type of windows are they: double pane or a single pane. How old are they? How many windows are thee? What direction they face? Whats the total square footage of windows? Once we know about the windows and the homes square footage, we take a look at the roof, and then insulation of the home. Is it in the ceiling? Is it in the attic? Is it in the walls of the house? A lot of older houses dont have insulation, especially in the walls.
