Ductless Heating for Commercial and Residential Properties in Akron, OH

Does your home or business have that one room that just will not keep temperature when attempting to heat or cool? Are there limitations in your building's design that will not allow for a new duct system to be installed? Or are you just looking for a simpler way to efficiently control the temperature in that space? If you're in the Akron/Canton area, Forquer Heating and Air Conditioning can help!

We offer an increasingly popular option for heating and cooling larger rooms of your home or commercial property that either do not maintain temperature or are not connected to your current system.

Mini-Split Systems and Ductless Heating/Cooling

Mini Split Systems | Heating and Air ConditoningWe provide a ductless, mini-split-system which will allow you to heat or cool large spaces without the hassle of installing air ducts. (Are mini-split-systems right for you? Find out here) This two-part system includes a small remote-controlled console that is mounted in the desired room. The console then connects to a condenser unit that is installed outside of the building.

The mini-split-system is great for both residential and commercial applications. Customers have had these systems installed in their master bedrooms, on their porches, offices, and even in restaurants. For example, one customer installed a unit in his restaurant's dining room, and it provided an extra three tons of cooling which was much needed during those hot, busy summer nights.

Not only is this system a more convenient way to regulate temperature in a specific room, but it is also extremely energy efficient. On average, one unit runs at 22 SEER (seasonal energy efficiency ratio), (what's a SEER rating? find out here) whereas a typical window air conditioning unit runs at 15 SEER. The higher the SEER, the more efficient the device. This keeps energy costs lower and has less of an impact on the environment!

What is the Best Heat Source for Homes in the Country?

A common problem for folks who live out in the country is deciding on which method to heat their homes. Depending on the situation, some types of heating units work much better and while others are less reliable. Price is another factor to consider whether its the price of installing to equipment or the monthly bill. Electric Heating for Your Home Every homeowner should have the ability to use all electric heating sources. The most common is a forced air electric furnace. This type of heating is, as a whole as a more expensive option. Then there is the electric heat pump, which is a bit cheaper than the furnace but overall the fuel used to heat electrical appliances is expensive. This means that your monthly heat bill will likely be very high, especially in those cold Ohio winters. Natural Gas as an Alternative Heating Source The cheaper alternative to electric heat is to heat with natural gas options. The issue with natural gas is that though it is a cheaper choice, it is not always

If you are a business owner and you are about to rent a new space for that business, it is important to consult with an HVAC professional before to make sure that the heating and cooling equipment can handle the type of business youre opening. A Hair Salon For instance, a man in the middle office of a strip building wanted to open up a hair salon. The space was a thousand square feet. But he called us because he could not cool the space. It was 85 degrees in there because that space was set up for routine office work, and he had seven hair dryers. Now four of those hair dryers put out enough heat to require another ton of air conditioning. Meaning he needed almost double the capacity that he had. So this man did not know that when he took that space. Now his clients are unhappy, and he is unhappy because he is losing customers and he had just paid for a new counter, chairs, mirrors, and now he has to pay for more air. Whereas had he consulted with an HVAC professional about the space

How Can I Heat and Cool My Sunroom or Garage?

If I have an addition, garage, or patio on my property is my HVAC equipment going to be enough to heat and cool that additional space or do I need to consider adding additional equipment? The answer is almost always going to be that you will need additional equipment. If the added space is similar to your house in terms of structure and insulation, then you will most likely not need to add another unit. Heating and Cooling Sunrooms For example, if the extra space is a three seasons room like the one shown above with a lot of windows, youre going to need a separate heating and air conditioning unit. This is because this type of room does not have much insulation and will always be much hotter in the summer and colder in the winter. Your original thermostat will not be enough to control the temperature in this room if it can even indicate it. Therefore, this room would really do well with its own thermostat and its own small air conditioning heating system such as a mini split system. Heating
