What is a Heat Pump?

A heat pump is a heating and cooling system. When you have electric heating, it can be very costly to run your heat in cold weather. So, to keep those energy costs lower, you can use a heat pump system as opposed to your electric furnace. 

However, a heat pump is not always the best at cooling or heating in extreme temperatures.

When is a Heat Pump a Good in Ohio?

A heat pump is a good idea in Ohio because of the cost – it is very efficient in certain temperatures. Once it is less than 30 degrees outside, the heat pump won't be able to keep your home at a comfortable temperature. Heat pumps are best used in conjunction with another heating and cooling source like forced air and an electric furnace, gas burner, oil furnace.
